Here you’ll find highlights from the 10th anniversary Kinotrip festival, which took place from 16 to 18 October 2025. We were swept away by six feature films and a short-film programme. We chatted with guests and vibed to musical openers, flipped through the Kinotrip magazine and enjoyed a slice of birthday cake.

The tenth edition of Kinotrip! Enjoy six feature films, including a classic, a selection of short films, guest talks, and social gatherings at the Kinodvor Café – all curated by our young programming team.

Due to the bad weather forecast, the screening of THE PENGUIN LESSONS was cancelled. You can exchange the tickets to the cancelled screenings for tickets to any other Film Under the Stars screening at the box offices of the Ljubljana Castle Entrance Pavilion and the Lower Funicular Station, or for a cash refund at the place of purchase until 25 August 2025. After this date, tickets cannot be refunded.

Due to the bad weather forecast, the screening of How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies was cancelled.

We invite you to use one of the sustainable ways of getting to the castle, namely: a ride on the funicular railway or travelling on a methane-powered bus. Sports enthusiasts can also test their mettle by cycling to the castle, while those who like evening walks can take a stroll on one of the footpaths leading to the castle. Parking on the road leading to the castle (Cesta slovenskih kmečkih uporov) is not permitted.

From 25 June to 2 August (inclusive), there will be no film screenings at Kinodvor due to the renovation of all sanitary and storage facilities. The café will be closed only from 25 to 29 June.
