14-year-old Elias and his family live in a rural Belgian town. But confusion and anxiety slowly begin to encroach on the apparent ease of the boy's life. Elias is tormented by the feeling that he’s the last one of his peers who does not really know what it means to be "in love". When he meets his new neighbour Alexander, a self-confident boy from Brussels, the two quickly hit it off. Confused by his burgeoning feelings, Elias tries to sort out his inner chaos. Realising that love is too precious to let it slip away, Elias embarks on a journey of self-discovery.

Born in 1989 in Belgium. He graduated from the KASK School of Arts in Ghent after which he obtained a master's degree in Film Studies and Visual Culture at the University of Antwerp. The world of young people and their relationships with the people around them form a common thread in his work. His first short film, Kiss me Softly, was a true festival favourite. His debut film, Young Hearts, premiered at the Berlinale Generation Kplus.
