The story follows Polly and Tim Thompson and their children Beth, Joe and Fran who find themselves forced to relocate to the remote English countryside. There, the children set on a series of adventures into fantastical worlds at the top of a magical tree in an enchanted forest. Filled with eccentric, beloved characters like Moonface, Silky, Dame Washalot and Saucepan Man, the story has delighted children and adults alike for decades.
