A newly restored version of Chaplin’s most successful film is being shown at more than 500 screenings in seventy countries around the world to mark the centenary of its premiere.

In their second feature film, the Monty Pythons gleefully mock the clichés of historical drama, mythical heroism, educational films, and even subtitles (“Mynd you, møøøse bites kan be pretti nasti.”). 

A hilarious adventure with the legendary duo Louis de Funès and Bourvil, this film was France’s most-watched movie for over thirty years and remains one of the most beloved French comedies of all time.
