When he makes a delivery on a busy Seoul street, Lee Jong-su runs into Haemi, a young woman who once lived in his neighbourhood. Shuji is a young filmmaker and devoted cinephile. He organises impromptu screenings of classic films on the roof of his apartment block and protests against multiplexes and the industry that is destroying the art of film on the streets of Tokyo. One day, he learns that his brother, who had helped finance his films, has been beaten to death by the Yakuza over unpaid debts. Shuji resolves to repay the debt by working as a human punching bag in the bathroom of the club where his brother was killed.
