synopsis
The two best friends, Grim and Axel, have ever since they were eight been dreaming about attending the annual Norwegian Championships of Rock. Together they have a band Los Bando Immortale, but they lack a bass player, and Axel the vocalist and lead guitarist can’t sing. Grim hasn’t had the heart to tell him yet, but when they get accepted to the National Championships of Rock, Grim needs to find a solution – quickly. They hold an audition, but have no luck finding a suitable band member, so they have to let nineyear-old Thilda become their bass player – on cello. As their designated driver they assign the local rally talent, Martin. What they don’t know is that he doesn’t have a driver’s license. They embark on a crazy journey across Norway. With the police and the parents chasing them, this will be a race against the clock to get to Tromsø in time for the event of their lifetime.

director’s statement
I wish to make a “Little Miss Sunshine for kids” - set in a band environment, about four youngsters who are dealing with different individual problems, but find strength in each other. I want to make a tender and funny film, which is not only a roadtrip to the Championship of Rock, but a coming-of-age story where the main characters come together, find comfort and confidence in each other, and together solve their problems.
I am passionate about creating great stories for children and young people, told in their own eye level. My strongest film experiences I had was as a child and adolescent, and I want through my films to provide such experiences to the new generations.
My own adolescence consisted of music, and the dream of becoming a "rock star" with my own band. We participated in a Norwegian Rock Championship final in Oslo, and my band became the Regional Champions in some other competitions in the early nineties. This was tremendously big for me at the time, and this "larger than life" feeling is something I want to create in this film.
I want this film to be fresh and fun, with poetic moments, and lots of energy. With Los Bando Immortale I want to make a funny, thrilling and entertaining road movie - a story about music and friendship - and following your dreams.

What's On

Hamnet Hamnet

Chloé Zhao

Friday, 13. 02. 2026 / 15:10 / Main Hall

Chloé Zhao (Nomadland) imagines how a tragedy from Shakespeare’s real life might have inspired the creation of his timeless masterpiece Hamlet. Starring the exceptional Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, the film is a moving story about love, loss, and the healing power of art.

Venom Gift

Knud Leif Thomsen

Friday, 13. 02. 2026 / 17:45 / Main Hall

Thomsen’s Danish-style Teorema (1968) predating Pasolini’s is as double-edged as its title (gift meaning both “poison” and “married”). The director conceived it as a polemical tract against pornography and the moral decay of Danish society. But by filling it with nudity and hardcore snippets, he ironically paved the way for a censorship-free Denmark, which in 1969 became the first country to legalize pornography. The censors covered the explicit scenes with thick white crosses (making them somehow even more obscene). And it is precisely on such a historical 35mm print that we will have the pleasure to see the film!

Six Swedish Girls in a Boarding School Sechs Schwedinnen im Pensionat

Erwin C. Dietrich

Friday, 13. 02. 2026 / 20:10 / Main Hall

The first lady of French porno chic, Brigitte Lahaie, returns in the original instalment of the cheeky fan favourite Six Swedish Girls at a Boarding School—taking place before the young Swedes found employment at a gas station and well-deserved holidays in Ibiza and the Alps. Directed by the “Swiss Roger Corman”, Erwin C. Dietrich, the evergreen hit from our Socialist past and the once notorious erotic Kino Sloga is bursting at the seams with zany humour, mechanical invention, and healthy minds in oh, such healthy bodies.
