summary
The enchanting series of eight short stories brings a fresh perspective on the everyday life situations of a new generation of characters from the Who series. Each story provides a glimpse into their (new) lives, a combination of childhood curiosity, grown-up responsibility and the shared joy of discovering new paths. Through simple and expressive illustrations, these endearing stories, extremely popular with the Sweden audiences, depict the emotional richness of overcoming life’s many obstacles in a modern world. about the author
Born in 1968. A writer and illustrator of children's books, including the Vem?/Who? and Brokiga series. Since graduating from the Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in 1992, she has become one of Sweden's most well-known illustrators. Her style is simple, minimalistic, yet expressive, she is especially renowned for her work in fashion, children's books, and unique portraits.   “For as long as I remember, I have been drawing and making up stories. /.../ I have kept quite a few of my earliest efforts, and in my recent work I see a return to my childhood sketches. Isn’t Teddy and his friend a bit like something a child would draw? /.../ I believe my stories have been greatly influenced by my own childhood, and by the times in which I were a child. But I also have the ambition to bring our own age, the ever-present Now in which we find ourselves, into my work.”

On 12 September 1919, a troop of some three hundred soldiers under the leadership of the flamboyant war-loving Italian poet Gabriele D’Annunzio swooped into the Northern-Adriatic port town of Fiume, now Rijeka, wanting to annex the city to Italy. Over the course of the next 16 months, during what is regarded as one of the most bizarre militant sieges of all time his official photography team captured over 10,000 images. A century later, Igor Bezinović orchestrates a direct-action history lesson focused on the siege and its modern-day implications.
