Wade lives in 2045 Ohio. The world is decaying and the future is uncertain. Rather than in the real world, people prefer to live in the virtual reality of digital games named OASIS. The only limits there are the limits of one’s imagination and everyone can be whatever they want. When the creator of the virtual universe, the eccentric billionaire James Halliday, dies, he leaves the world a video message. Whoever finds a hidden object first, not only wins all his wealth, but also gains complete control over OASIS.
