Victoria Victoria

Sebastian Schipper / Germany / 2015 / 138 min

Victoria, a young Spanish woman, dances through the Berlin scene with abandon. She meets four mates outside a club who introduce themselves as Sonne, Boxer, Blinker and Fuß. They quickly get chatting. Sonne and Victoria take a fancy to each other and slip away from the group at the first opportunity. But their tender flirting is rudely interrupted by the others because, for these pals, the night is far from over. To settle an old debt they have to pull off a dodgy deal.

Spotlighting an unrestrained rave night in Berlin that turns into a criminal act, director Sebastian Schipper takes us on this wild adventure in a single uninterrupted take.

"Victoria is an idealist – when she does something, she’s all in: she plays the piano she’s all in; she meets someone she likes, she’s all in. This is the kind of person she is. For me, this was the most interesting aspect of the one take, as we could find these virtues of the character through the improvisation of the one take, through their interactions. Their dialogues, you couldn’t write, this developed through the improvisation." (Sebastian Schipper)

Wednesday, 24. 06. 2026 / 21:30 / Kinodvorišče

Third World is more than just a documentary about Haustor, the legendary Zagreb band that left its mark on the former Yugoslavia’s music scene. It is the story of two creative opposites: Darko Rundek and Srđan Sacher. Through candid conversations, a studio reunion, and a wealth of archival material, the film reveals how the two artists’ sensitivity to the magic of everyday life once united their creative worlds – creating a third.

Whispers in the Woods Le chant des forêts

Vincent Munier

Thursday, 25. 06. 2026 / 18:50 / Main Hall

After The Snow Leopard, nature photographer Vincent Munier takes us to the heart of the Vosges forests. This is where he learned everything from his father Michel, a naturalist who spent his life on the lookout in the woods. It is time for them to pass on this knowledge to Simon, Vincent’s son. Three perspectives, three generations, a shared fascination with wildlife. With them, we will discover deer, rare birds, foxes, lynx… and sometimes even the flapping wings of the legendary capercaillie. Whispers in the Woods invites us to experience the forest and let it overwhelm us with its textures, smells, and sounds. See it under the stars!
