"Right from the start, I was overseeing each phase in order to integrate as much of the Zombillenium graphics as possible, because there’s a cartoon aspect and at the same time there’s a hyper realistic side, in the colors, in the contrasts... I’d often show photos and say, here, we took this in the North. You see how the road is. If you half close your eyes you see that everything is black except for the sky. There’s a particular light, which makes it very humid, so we have to accentuate that and heighten the contrast, etc. It was all very deliberate and I’m very happy with the final results."
- Arthur de Pins

"When I discovered the graphic novel Zombillenium, I was very impressed: his elegant design has all the qualities and layout of a film. And as a screenwriter, Arthur has gone further than in any of his previous work. He has managed to invent a great story that reminds you of a family comedy and takes place in a decidedly new universe."
