Two years after her husband’s death, 32-year-old Hyo-jin decides to take in Jong-wook, the teenage son from her late husband's previous marriage, after the boy’s grandmother develops dementia. Their cohabitation is marked by reserve and distance. While Hyo-jin makes tentative efforts to connect, Jong-wook remains withdrawn and begins searching for his biological mother, further unsettling their already fragile relationship.
