Clara and Irène meet at a summer camp. Despite being totally different – Clara is reserved and shy, while Irène is rebellious – they share a desire to explore love, freedom and their fears about an uncertain future. They flee to Sicily into the haven of nature and a carefree summer. There, words are replaced by the sounds of cicadas, the sea and passers-by. They film their path of self-discovery and acceptance with a VHS camcorder, which co-creates the film’s aesthetic and arouses a feeling of nostalgia. An ode to the love of everything and everyone around us.

Let film take you through a landscape of feelings!

»I think nature sort of clashes with you at that age. You’re astonished by the fact that you are just part of nature. I mean, I showed them [Clara and Irène] as if they are parts of the island, you know, just like rocks, clouds and water. They are not different from what surrounds them.«
