IMDb

Robin is the mother of a stillborn child. She gives birth to her lifeless baby, yet her body still prepares itself for breastfeeding. This means Robin has to spend numerous hours pumping her breast milk. But, as it's the only thing that still connects her to her child, to simply pour it away breaks her heart. She decides, therefore, to donate her milk, but this turns out to be easier said than done. As her quest for a place to donate becomes more difficult than anticipated, more and more milk starts to crowd her freezer, relationship, and life.

“The inspiration came also from meeting real partners of mothers and the mothers who donated milk after this. Of course, initially, you get told by the producers, and everybody, “Oh, yeah, he needs to be like an antagonist, you know, because otherwise, you don't have an antagonist.” I already felt like there was already conflict in just the amount of milk because you're like, something has to happen with this milk. /…/ It demands a drinker, this milk.” (Stefanie Kolk)
