The voyage through a wormhole is tricky and perilous even for an experienced pilot. Nova veers off course and, with the help of her talkative flying robot ADD, crash lands in the middle of a forest, almost a hundred kilometres away from her destination. An unforeseen side-effect of time travel makes Nova young again and she arrives in 2025 as a twelve-year old. Nobody seems to take her or her mission seriously, except for Nas – a teenage boy who tries to keep this mysterious girl and her robot out of the hands of a secret service agent, Claire. Will Nova and Nas succeed in saving the future world?

Director and screenwriter Maurice Trouwborst graduated from the Utrecht University of the Arts in 2006. He directed the television drama, Dames 4, in 2015. “I really wanted to do something with the climate change issue, but rather in a film you'd want to watch again and again: an exciting and hopeful film. Obviously, climate change is not a light subject, and the chance our Earth will be in serious trouble is quite high. But right now, the tide can still turn, so we chose to make a hopeful film.” (Maurice Trouwborst)
