Greice Greice

Leonardo Mouramateus / Brazil / 2024 / 110 min / Portuguese

A charming comedy in which the title heroine confronts life's many challenges with half-truths, exaggerations and evasions, parodying the art world and paying homage to Hollywood's screwball comedies.

cast Amandyra (Greice), Mauro Soares (Alfonso)

IMDb

Greice, a 21-year-old Brazilian girl, studies at Fine Arts University in Lisbon. A woman for whom deception is second nature, but armoured with an infectious charm. In the early days of summer, Greice gets involved with a mysterious guy, Afonso. The couple is accused of a strange accident that occurs at the students’ welcoming party. Greice needs to return to her hometown, Fortaleza. Hidden in a hotel, while preventing her mother from discovering the problems in which she was involved, Greice tries to find a place of comfort in the world.

“I am very interested in immature characters, in fact, anyone who can go beyond being a bundle of traumas and desires. I am not interested in characters constructed as if they had RPG characteristics. I want to live with people, with what I see, the landscapes, something that flows irresponsibly in the film. It is much greater than reducing life to an action or a reaction, than focusing only on challenges and defeats. None of that interests me.” (Leonardo Mouramateus)

Fiume o morte! Fiume o morte!

Igor Bezinović

Wednesday, 14. 01. 2026 / 19:15 / Small Hall

On 12 September 1919, a troop of some three hundred soldiers under the leadership of the flamboyant war-loving Italian poet Gabriele D’Annunzio swooped into the Northern-Adriatic port town of Fiume, now Rijeka, wanting to annex the city to Italy. Over the course of the next 16 months, during what is regarded as one of the most bizarre militant sieges of all time his official photography team captured over 10,000 images. A century later, Igor Bezinović orchestrates a direct-action history lesson focused on the siege and its modern-day implications.
