Alain is an editor at a successful publishing company through which his bohemian friend and writer Léonard publishes his novels. Alain's wife Séléna is the star of a beloved television series while Léonard's wife Valérie is the driven politician's assistant. But when Alain rejects Léonard's new work despite their years-long friendship, the already complex relationship between the couples begins to unravel.

Over the course of the next 16 months, during what is regarded as one of the most bizarre militant sieges of all time his official photography team captured over 10,000 images.
