Babylon follows the rise and fall of two dreamers—one a self-proclaimed film star, Nellie, and the other her aspiring assistant Manny—who find themselves in the midst of the decadence and debauchery of early Hollywood. The bustling, noisy, dizzying spectacle by Damien Chazelle (La La Land) divided critics and audiences alike and would go on to win the Golden Globe for Best Original Score and three Academy Award nominations.
