Technical Adaptations & Access to the Facilities

Tickets and Booking

Persons with disabilites are entitled to discounted tickets. The price list is published here.

Persons with disabilites can book tickets for all screenings. They can do so by phone (01 239 22 17) or e-mail (blagajna@kinodvor.org).

To book a ticket, they have to provide the number of their European Disability Card or some other relevant document.

They can pick up the ticket at the box office by presenting the relevant document at least 15 minutes before the start of the screening.

For special screenings, free tickets are also available. Information about them is published on this website.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Kinodvor’s Main Hall is equipped with an induction loop. Before entering the hall, the hearing aid needs to be switched to the so-called T-mode.

At all screenings, headsets enabling a better reception of sound are available. Ask for a headset at Kinodvor’s Box Office at least 15 minutes before the start of the screening.

In select time slots, Slovenian films are shown with Slovenian closed captions (when available).

Individual events are put on with additional adaptations, for example, talks interpreted in Slovenian Sign Language and accompanied by live captions.

All screenings and events with adaptations are published on this website and in the schedule.

Blind and Visually Impaired

For certain films, an audio description for the blind and partially sighted is available.

Kinodvor has a number of audio description headsets and a few receivers for the visitors who bring their own headsets.

Ask for an audio description headset or receiver at Kinodvor’s Box Office at least 15 minutes before the start of the screening.

All screenings and events with adaptations are published on this website and in the schedule.

The Main Hall can be accessed by a lift (its maximum load is 280 kg), while the Café has step-free access.

There is an adapted toilet next to the Main Hall. Access to the Small Hall is still not possible for mobility impaired persons and we are working to find a suitable solution.

A part of Kolodvorska Street leading to Kinodvor is closed by a retractable bollard. Kinodvor’s staff can let vehicles briefly access the cinema (there is a button labelled “Kinodvor” on the bollard), but it is not possible to leave the vehicle in front of the cinema because we do not have a dedicated parking space.

If you require a wheelchair, we have one available – it is kept next to the Small Hall. Contact the Box Office personnel to arrange its use to access the Main Hall.

Accessibility of Films in Other Languages

Films are screened in their original language – except for films intended for the youngest children.

In the Kinobalon family programme, films are also screened in their Slovenian-dubbed version or with Slovenian narration.

We occasionally screen films with English subtitles. When films are screened with subtitles in other languages, the information is provided in the schedule – here.
