1940, World War II. Allied soldiers from Belgium, the British Empire, Canada, and France are surrounded by the German army. 400,000 men are stranded on the dunes of Dunkirk. But when they couldn’t get home, home came to them. During the largest evacuation in military history, codenamed Operation Dynamo, 700 civilian boats came to their heroic rescue.
