Retro Future
The world of the future that I have imagined in childhood is different from the world of the future that can be visited now. Legendary sound designer Matsuo Ohno has created sound for animation for the first time since Osamu Tezuka's TV animation "Astro Boy".

Lesley the Pony Has an A+ Day!
Lesley the Pony goes on a fun-filled adventure through the town of Merryville while making lasting memories with his friend, The Duke.

8 Bullets
My name is Gabriel, I live in Taipei. I lost my wife in an act of aggression. A red haired man entered my home, he smelt of fried fish. He carried a weapon. He used it on my family. Since then, I feel empty, a hole in the head.

Blood Manifesto
All over the world, idealist revolutionaries shed their blood to denounce injustices. Yet blood is also the very symbol of life. Sketches drawn using filmmaker Theodore Ushev’s own blood explore this paradox. Why fight for ideals, noble though they may be, if you must die for them in the end? Are rebellion and insurrection egotistical deeds, or are they lessons in pure altruism?

Sunday Lunch
It's Sunday. While eating lunch, Jean observes his family members. They ask him questions but don't listen to his answers, they give him advice that they don't follow, they pet him and slap him. It's normal, it's Sunday lunch.

The Swallow
Three women. Three generations. A Chinese family without love in the 1940s.

Rhizome
From the infinitely small to the infinitely big, everything in the universe is tightly connected, when interacting, when rebuilding, in a combination of movements in perpetual metamorphosis.

Dark Mixer
A short loop animation based on the concept of transformation. The author was inspired by alchemy, believing that rotoscope animation and alchemy are similar in the sense of taking an existing piece/object, adding something to it, and creating something entirely new. The title implies taking everyday things and dumping them into a mixer to create something unfamiliar, which may lead us to look at everyday life in a different way.

Mimma
After a tragic event, a child takes refuge in an alternative reality, where his mother is still present.

You Look Like Me
I passed you by, I only passed you by, on the street, in the subway,
or rather I saw you, I only saw you, on television, in the newspapers,
I read the story of your life, I saw photos of you,
I saw you passing by, only passing by,
but I couldn’t forget your eyes, they said to me:
“Little brother, little sister, you look like me.”

Pedro Almodóvar

Thursday, 24. 07. 2025 / 21:30 / The Ljubljana Castle

Ingrid and Martha were close friends in their youth, but life separated them: Ingrid became a writer, and Martha a war correspondent. After years without contact, they meet again under unusual circumstances… Pedro Almodóvar’s latest creation is a story about the beauty of life and the inevitability of death, full of colour, light, and humour. The film won the Golden Lion in Venice and earned Tilda Swinton a Golden Globe nomination.

The Brutalist The Brutalist

Brady Corbet

Friday, 25. 07. 2025 / 21:30 / The Ljubljana Castle

A monumental epic about a Jewish architect who, in the post-World War II era, comes to grips with the dark side of the American dream. Winner of the Golden Lion for Best Direction in Venice.

Bong Joon Ho

Saturday, 26. 07. 2025 / 21:30 / The Ljubljana Castle

Six years after Parasite, Korean director Bong Joon-ho is back with another biting satire (this time set in the distant future) with Robert Pattinson shining in the leading role(s). Its unlikely hero, Mickey Barnes, has found himself in the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who demands the ultimate commitment to the job… to die, for a living. »Combining the best parts of Snowpiercer and Okja into something new, this warm and wonderful film suggests that Bong loves people even more than he hates capitalism.« – IndieWire.
