The film, which Paolo Taviani dedicated to his brother and long-time co-director Vittorio, follows the ashes of the great dramatist Luigi Pirandello on their bizarre journey to his final resting place in Sicily. It also features a cinematic interpretation of a novella written twenty days before the playwright’s death.
