The seventh edition of the <\/span>Kinotrip International Film Festival<\/span><\/strong>, the biggest event of <\/span>Kinodvor\u2019s<\/span> Kinotrip <\/span><\/strong>film programme created by the youth for the youth<\/span>, took place between <\/span>20 and 22 October 2022. <\/span><\/strong>The programme was carefully selected by nine young members of the Kinotrip Film Club. <\/span>In three eventful days, they watched six features and a programme of shorts, while the audience award went to Olga, which, with its daring turns, took them into an exceptionally topical intertwinement of politics and sports.<\/span><\/p>\n

At <\/span>eight festival screenings<\/span><\/strong>, more than<\/span> 800<\/span> visitors<\/span>, most of them young, travelled across various film worlds. At the festival\u2019s opening, they were joined by the young Ukrainian actress<\/span> Anastasiia Budiashkina<\/span><\/strong>, who played the lead in <\/span>Olga.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s programme was strongly marked by the topic of diverse identities. <\/span>Sun<\/span><\/a><\/u> (Kurdwin Ayub, 2022) and Into My Name<\/span><\/a><\/u> (Nicol\u00f2 Bassetti, 2022) also explored this topic, each in its own way. After both films, the young talked with interesting guests from Slovenia. We were joined by the trans activist Evan Grm<\/span><\/strong>, film director and critic <\/span>Simona Jerala<\/span><\/strong> and the Slovenian-Kurdish designer <\/span>Hana Karim<\/span><\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the film programme and talks, the young Kinotrip Film Club members also took care of the interesting introductions, thematic socialising and the musical closing of the festival. <\/span><\/p>\n

This autumn also brought a few new episodes of the <\/span>Kinotripping festival podcast<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span> This year\u2019s festival team hosted <\/span>Benjamin Krneti\u0107<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>Lina Akif<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>Suzana Tratnik<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>Evan Grm<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>Peter Cerov\u0161ek<\/span><\/strong> and <\/span>Matev\u017e Jerman<\/span><\/strong>. Together, they tripped on films, cinema and other topical issues related to this year\u2019s programme and the broader young generation.
