A heavy rainstorm at a football game at Montreal's stadium suddenly opens up a sinkhole in the field. The venue is evacuated and within a few hours is declared a protected archeological site. In this manyfaceted portrait of the rich 750 year history of Montreal, archeologist Baptiste Asigny follows the trails of his Iroquoi ancesters to what remains of the village of Hochelaga whose citizens came face-to-face with French explorer Jacques Cartier in 1535. Canada's entry for the 2017 foreign language Academy Award.
